Germany

This is my first post to our Promised blog. I promise to post pics and updates of our life here.

We've been in Germany for almost a month already. CRAZY. We have less than a month to go and we will finally have a house. We know where we are going to be living; sometimes I fell like heading over there and asking the family kindly if the wouldn't mind if we hung out in their basement. then I remind myself...I wouldn't be real happy in a basement. So it's Guesthouse living for us for now.

We comment to each other that we miss our things. We don't consider ourselves materialistic people, but boy do we miss things like our couch, bed, and towels. That's not too materialistic right?

Hohenfels is a great community. It reminds us a lot of home, well except that the people here speak German and the food is different. It is a very small farming community. Post is about the size of the towns we were raised in. And NO stoplights, which we are very excited about. After living in El Paso, and the craziness there, we are happy to slow things down just a bit.

We miss our family and friends in the States, but are truly thankful for this blessing we have been given and the time our family has together.

Lots of changes coming up. Thanks for joining us on this adventure.
